Why use LED PAR 38 lamps?

The cost of LED lamps is higher than incandescent, halogen or fluorescent lamps, but they cost a lot less to operate and last 30,000 hours. Incandescent and halogens burn out at the most inopportune time. The 17 watt LED PAR 38 lamp will replace a 90 watt halogen lamp. Will save 73 watts of electricity for every hour of use. So for every 14 hours of use your light you save 1 kW. At .10 per kW that would be a savings of $214.00 over the life of the lamp plus the cost to change the other lamps multiple times. There is also a savings during the summer with the cost to cool your home with less heat created.
